On Saturday, June 27, our North End came alive as neighbours opened their driveways, front lawns, and hearts for another amazing North End Garage Sale, followed by the North End Neighbourhood Block Party. Together, we welcomed hundreds of visitors, helped families find new homes for treasures, and celebrated everything that makes our neighbourhood so special -community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated:

  • Every household and person that hosted a garage sale – this is the third year running these and we had over 60 households participate and approx 15 at welcome in – about 75 sales overall, huge and record breaking!
  • Everyone who came out to shop and explore the neighbourhood
  • Our volunteers who gave their time before, during, and after the events
  • The amazing team Welcome Inn Community Centre for once again partnering with us
  • Everyone who donated supplies and their time to make the day a success

Thank You to Our Incredible Musical Guests The Block Party was filled with fantastic local talent. Thank you to B.A. Johnston, Tony T. Tortola (Elvis!) & Marie Pavlov, Felix and Matias, Jack Stearns Ley, Drones Over Dufferin, No Place For a Woman, Dr. Wig Dust, and Proof of Ghosts, and everyone else who helped fill the neighbourhood with music all afternoon and evening. Your performances brought people together and created memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. Thank you as well to everyone who enjoyed the BBQ, sang karaoke, participated in the open mic, brought the kids out for activities, and took advantage of the free bike tune-ups. Seeing neighbours of all ages spending the day together is exactly what this event is all about.
