On January 5, 2025 Zeke Fox rescued a man from a tent engulfed in flames. The man was taken to General Hospital in critical but stable condition. Zeke was admitted to MAC for smoke inhalation and suffered some scrapes and bruises. The man, Shawn, is recovering in ICU and had an opportunity to meet the young man who saved his life.

Zeke is a 17 year old Cathedral Student who has aspirations to enter the Police Force after college.  He has been presented with a commendation from the city by Mayor Andrea Horwath and a Chief’s Challenge Coin from the Chief of Police. The Chief also stated he would be Zeke’s mentor.

Parents, Christine and Pat say they are extremely proud but not at all surprised. Zeke has been trying to help others since he was able to walk. “Way to go bud!! You make Dad and I so incredibly proud!!!”
