Those words were certainly heard in Kentucky during the Great Depression when librarians on horseback brought books and ideas to remote homesteads in the Appalachians. They rode in rain, snow and mud through the mountains to promote literacy.
Hamilton Public Library isn’t arriving by horseback (which could be exciting!). HPL is opening a small, temporary library branch in the Discovery Centre this summer in order to provide library services in that location while long-term planning for the new branch is in progress. There will be books, programs and more!
Keep an eye open for its arrival!
