From annual favourites to first-of-its kind events, there’s no shortage of amazing things to do in Hamilton this summer. Mark your calendars – these are just some of the upcoming events the Waterfront Shores Partners’ are looking forward to in the coming months.

North End Breezes 50th anniversary celebration:

This month, the beloved North End Breezes community newspaper is celebrating an exciting milestone – its 50th anniversary. Taking place June 18th 1-4pm at the Macassa Bay Yacht Club, stop by to say thank you to the wonderful volunteers that make the North End Breezes possible, or stay longer to enjoy the BBQ, entertainment and silent auction. To reserve your spot today, email office@northendbreezes.com

Music on the Waterfront:

Music on the Waterfront, hosted by Hamilton Waterfront Trust is back again, starting July! The free event happens every Tuesday night from 6:30-9:30pm at Pier 8’s Waterfront Stage (weather permitting). Last year’s line-up included The Personics, Troy Harmer Trio, Miles Evans Band and more. Visit www.hamiltonwaterfront.com to learn more about this year’s programming.

Hamilton Harbourfront Night Market:

Calling all foodies! Didn’t get the chance to make it to last year’s Hamilton Harbourfront Night Market? You’re in luck, because the event that aims to emulate the busy nightlife and night markets all over Asia, is back for another year, July 29th-August 1st at Bayfront Park. Enjoy yummy food, shopping and waterfront views after dark at this free event. Donations are accepted at the door, and all proceeds raised go towards fundraising for future events. Keep an eye on https://hhnightmarket.ca for this year’s food vendors and merchants.

Hamilton Harbour Fishing Derby:

Running alongside the shoreline from Princess Point to Pier 8, the Hamilton Harbour Fishing Derby returns on August 13th from 8am-noon. We’re sure this beloved event is slated to be bigger than ever. This is a free event (no registration required), and the first 1,000 children under 12 will earn free fishing rods. Stay tuned for this year’s programming details at www.hamiltonwaterfront.com.

Supercrawl:

Hamilton’s biggest arts and music festival that lures more than 250,000 visitors annually returns this year, September 9th-11th on James St. North. Supercrawl fuses new and independent music with art installations, fashion, performance, literature, theatre, and artisanal craft, with sound, performance, visual and media arts staged along a pedestrian-only creative corridor in the heart of downtown.

North End Breezes 50th anniversary celebration, Music on the Waterfront, Hamilton Harbourfront Night Market, Hamilton Harbour Fishing Derby and Supercrawl are just a few of the many events happening this summer, and we’re thrilled to see the city come alive again as we all experience the best Hamilton has to offer.
