The Sunset Cultural Garden, at the corner of Bay Street North and Strachan Street West, across the road from the entrance to Bayfront Park, is nestled within Simcoe Tot Lot a designated City of Hamilton Park.   This pollinator garden and quiet sitting spot is now being threatened by the prospect of being sold to a developer.

Concerned area residents are working to save Simcoe Tot Lot (where Sunset Garden is located) to not ONLY preserve the Sunset Cultural Garden but, importantly, to stand firm on the principle that selling city parks should never be on the table when the city is looking for cash. City politicians and developers need to know this.  Parks, even small green spaces like this one, are extremely important to the environment and to the health and well-being of residents.
