So many of our organizations are going above and beyond to bring Christmas to families this year. If you can help, check out your local church or donation centre to find out how. Sometimes it’s a gift of money but even your help in volunteering is needed. Children all across our city deserve a gift or a meal they otherwise might not have. In the North End, the Welcome Inn helps our seniors too. James North Baptist Church is doing their annual Christmas Basket.

Next door, other neighbourhoods are going above and beyond. There’s a group that feeds and gifts over 60 families, Holiday Wish; St Matthews House, what about Eva Rothwell? At Cathy Wever School, the The Rotary Club will make sure that over 500 children will have filled tummies and smiles on their faces this Christmas. The annual signature event of our Rotary Club will take place on Thursday December 17th, 2020. It will look different as we cannot gather altogether in the gym as in the past. We will still be delivering books and gifts to all the children as well as a traditional hot turkey dinner with all the fixings.

Here is how you can help;

  • Visit rotaryclubhamilton.caand get your Virtual Stockings. Each donation of $20 feeds 2 children and you get a tax receipt
  • Why not consider being a sponsor – Elf Sponsors help cover the costs of feeding a classroom of children
  • Share the information with friends and family and encourage them to get a Virtual Stocking

Together we can make magic happen in a different way for these children.
