This year the food drive seems to be a little more important than in years past. There are signs all around us that there are more people that need help. While most solutions are complex, the food drive remains a simple way for all of us to make a big contribution to helping those in need.
The North End Food Drive will take place on Saturday, October 28th in support of The Welcome Inn. We hope all of our North End neighbours will contribute to make this the best year ever!
Welcome Inn’s food bank is a place for individuals and families to access food and personal hygiene items. It is also a community gathering place to connect with neighbours. The hours of the food bank are Monday to Friday 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. For more information about The Welcome Inn please visit www.WelcomeInn.ca.
For those living west of James Street please leave your items on your porch by noon on Saturday October 28th as we will be walking door to door and picking up the donations. There will also be a “Donation Location” at the corner of Bay and Burlington.
For those living East of James Street look for a “Donation Location” box to put your items in before noon. We hope to have donation boxes located throughout the neighbourhood.
