New Horizons- Thrift, Vintage & Collectible Store
520 James Street North

Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm
New Horizons Thrift, Vintage, & Collectibles wishes you a bright and hopeful March 2017. I have had the privilege of managing the store for a full and challenging year – it has been a beautiful experience meeting our North End community. Thank you to everyone who is part of New Horizons!
We have seen some changes in expanding our offerings to the local and broader communities but rest assured we will first and foremost always be your thrift store. We are here for you and because of you! Our neighbourhood is growing and so will we, together.
New Horizons keeps our prices as low as we can in order to remain an accessible and affordable shopping experience for everyone. It’s important that you are aware that any profits we do make go directly into the work of the Welcome Inn; whether that’s the Food Bank, Kids Programs, Seniors Programs or community development initiatives. Your donations and your patronage support a great deal of great work. Every time you walk through our bright yellow doors at 520 James St. N, you strengthen our community. There is no Us/Them; simply “We”.
Please watch our Facebook page for sales and events, our Kijiji ads for special collectibles, antiques and vintage pieces. We remain OPEN Monday thru Saturday 10am-5pm, and welcome your donations only during those hours when we can thank you in person. Please note that donations should not be left outside our doors when we are closed as they become compromised by weather and a variety of scavengers by the time we get them -and unfortunately your generosity can suffer. Your donations keep us alive and help others to thrive.
New Horizons works because of our volunteers; an ever-growing team of folks from every imaginable background of life experience who so freely and generously donate skills and time and faith in a place that truly welcomes All. When things are challenging or resources thin, volunteers dig deeper and raise us up. When someone is struggling or sick or in need of a safe place to belong, our volunteers rally round and make sure everyone is okay. And it is done with tremendous good humor, humbly bringing their abilities and learning from one another. Volunteer opportunities present themselves all the time and you will be welcomed to the team. It’s a great way to support and share, to learn and grow and understand community. Keep your eye on our Facebook Page for Pop-Up Sales, and a March Break Hot Dogs and Deals Day. We will be Spring Flipping soon….which means big Winter Clothing Discounts ahead!
Wishing you a lovely March, Suzanne
