The City of Hamilton has many committees that citizens serves on – I counted 39 committees including Cycle Committee, Status of Women, Senior Advisory Committee, Keep Hamilton Clean and Green to name a few. Most committees have a City Staff liason and some have councilors that serve on them as well as citizens. Some Committees have only a few citizens on them and others have 15 – 20.
Although by the time you read this article, the “Information Session” will have been completed (November 28), there is still time to apply to serve on a City Committee.
A resident can apply to a maximum of 2 committees. The last day to apply is Friday, December 14, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
Applications are available on line or at the City Clerk’s office or Municipal Service Centres.
