This month, during our “new normal”, it’s been difficult to get out and about and find places that can be interviewed. Fisher’s Pier 4 was featured in our April 2018 issue and it’s fitting I think to remind everyone that they are still a big part of the North End.

Located at 554 James Street North, they celebrated their 25th anniversary last November 2018.

Ed Fisher has family roots here in Hamilton’s North End and everyone there from Ed to the staff truly look on their customers as family celebrating birthdays, anniversary’s and special occasions together.

During their closure, they have continued to reach out to the residents and check in with their staff.

Fisher’s is well known and loved in the community and their on-going contributions are much appreciated. Please check their Facebook page, their website or email them at

Another of our neighbourhood gems can be found at 496 James Street North at the corner of James and Picton. Our Corner Bar and Grill celebrates fourteen years of North End community this month. While they can’t be open to welcome you during this time, they look forward to seeing you soon. They’ve been busy renovating so they can bring you a new look at one of your favourite spots. You can check them out on their Facebook page, their website at or email Darlene at

We look forward in anticipation to sunny days and warm evenings when we can join our friends on the patio at both of these well-loved places in our community!
