The majestic Tall Ships are returning to Pier 8 – following their hugely successful visit back in the summer of 2013. You won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to witness the spectacle of 11 Tall Ships gracing Hamilton’s beautiful Waterfront. In addition to the Tall Ship deck tours and cruises, enjoy food vendors, family-friendly and nautical themed activities, and music on the Waterfront Stage featuring great musicians from Hamilton’s thriving music scene.

Celebrate Canada 150 Day

Bayfront & Pier 4 Parks

Time: 3pm – Family-friendly programming and live music; fireworks at 10pm

Enjoy food trucks, family-friendly fun, and spectacular live music performances featuring Canadian artists Jully Black, Steve Strongman and Sarah Slean, presented by RBC. The celebration will conclude with a dazzling fireworks finale, set to an orchestral arrangement performed live by Maestro Boris Brott and the National Academy Orchestra of Canada. Free event.

Bike – Park your rented SoBi bike at one of several hubs in the area
Street Parking – PERMIT ONLY parking for North End residents. Vehicles without permits will be ticketed.

Parking Lots

  • FREE parking is available at Pier 8 (lot entrance at Discovery Drive and Guise Street E.)
  • FREE offsite parking will be available at Bayfront Park, West Harbour GO Station (353 James St N), and Eastwood Park (Ferguson Avenue lot – North of Burlington St E) with HSR Bus Shuttle service to Pier 8

Bike – Lock your bike with the FREE Secure Bike Parking Service at Bayfront Park, provided by Open Streets Hamilton. Park your rented SoBi bike at one of several hubs in the area.
Street Parking – PERMIT ONLY parking for North End residents.  Vehicles without permits will be ticketed.

Parking Lots – Heavy traffic is expected at the Waterfront. Walking, biking, or using the HSR bus shuttle is strongly encouraged.

  • Limited free parking is available at Bayfront Park
  • Pier 4 Park parking lot will not be available for public parking.
